My Memories 7 Days of Software Giveaway!

Today is SewCalGal's stop in the 7 Days of Software Giveaways from MyMemories, hosted by Melinda at 28 Peppermint Grove.  I'm delighted to be part of this blog hop and want to share with you some insights on what I've recently been using MyMemories software for.

You may know MyMemories V4 software is my "go to" software for creating images for my blog, Facebook, greeting cards, scrapbooking, printing designs onto fabric, making bookmarks and other craftables.  It is super easy to use.  And, I'm delighted to share insights with you on how I use this software.  Today, I want to share insights with you to help you create:

Facebook Timeline Header Image

To create your own unique Facebook Timeline image, use the "create your own design" feature in MyMemories and create a custom size and set your diimensions to 851px by 315px. You can then pull in any MyMemories collection, or use your own images.  I used the MyMemories Stocking Stuffer template, which automatically reformats to the dimensions I previously defined for this project.  Then, it was really quick to pull in an image, change text, move things around.  Within 2 minutes I had a new facebook header image for my Facebook wall.   This was so easy and fast I'm a bit embarrassed to show it, but it did help dress up my Facebook wall for the holidays.

Recognizing Sponsors
Like many of us, I'm involved with a variety of fundraisers throughout the year and am always looking for ways to create flyers and posters that can be used to recognize sponsors that donate prizes.  As I'm hosting the Quilter's Christmas Party and Fundraiser for Operation Homefront (which you can still donate to win raffle prizes), I wanted to create an image that would recognize all the sponsors, including new ones.  I found it really easy to use the MyMemories Software.  I  used the option to "Create Album from Designer Template" and  I selected the Holiday Simplicity template.  It was very easy and fast to edit the text to create a beautiful image that can be used on my blog, or printed to a flyer or poster to recognize such sponsors. I actually printed a large poster that was displayed at the physical Quilter's Christmas Party this past Sunday.

Creating Christmas Cards
While pre-printed Christmas Cards have been the norm for years, customized cards are so much nicer.  Even better, when you took the time to customize them...and even better when you can quickly do so using MyMemories software.  I used the option to "create my own design" using a  5x7 format.  I then inserted the Holiday Snows collection, which automatically formatted to the size I specified.  I quickly uploaded an image, moved a few things around for my personal preference, and was easily able to print these cards on my home inkjet printer. But, you can also take these cards to kiosk printers (e.g. Costco, Sams, WalMart, etc) to print. And, you can even use MyMemories to create the cover, inside and backside of your greeting card too!

WordArt - MyMemories has some fun WordArt that comes with the V4 software.  And, they have more you can purchase at a reasonable price. Plus, you can easily create your own WordArt using this software, as well as bring in clipart wordart images.  I purchased the "All I Want For Christmas" WordArt collection which I used to create a Quilter's Christmas Wish List.  Of course, I hope  you'll leave a comment to let me know what you want for Christmas as I'd love to hear what you want for Christmas.

I hope you can see why the MyMemories software is my "go to" software package.  If you already have it and are not using it, I hope this inspires you to use it.  Possibilities are endless.  Just get in and play.  If you are new to the MyMemories software,

If you are interested in learning more about MyMemories, I hope you'll visit the other blogs participating in this hop.  They are all sharing inspirational projects that they created with the MyMemories software and also hosting a giveaway which you can enter and increase your odds of winning a copy of this fun and creative software. Here is the line up for this fun event:

I  do think at $39.97 MyMemories software a very reasonable  package, plus they have many freebies on their site.  Should  you want to purchase this software, MyMemories has offered readers of SewCalGal a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the My Memories store - $20 value! Just copy and paste the code STMMMS74482 and enter it during checkout to receive your discount!

Use Code STMMMS74482 at checkout!

Did I mention a giveaway?

MyMemories has offered a copy of their software to followers of SewCalGal.    Public followers can simply leave a message on this post to let me know you are interested in winning a copy of this software.  SewCalGal will randomly select and announce a winner on Friday, December 21st.

Update:  Congratulations to Karen M (Karen's Sewing Room) as she is the winner of this giveaway.

I'm also interested in knowing if you'd like to see SewCalGal share tutorials for using MyMemories software.? I've found this software so easy to use, but I do realize some may like tutorials.  So, please let me know what you think.  I see endless possibilities with this software. I still use Photoshop, but this has definitely become my "go to" software.

I purchased this software the last time you promoted it [a few weeks ago?]. I used the 'code' and I rec'd the $10 discount from the price but no $10 shopping credit. ;( . Perhaps I failed to fill out something. Anyway, it's still sitting in its box. lol. I am very interested in learning this software - you have mentioned so many useful things we can do with it. So, YES, I would love to see some tutes on MyMemories.

Cyn said...

PS: Thanks anyway, but I already have V4 of this software, so please don't throw my name in the hat for your drawing, I just wanted to 'vote' for some tutes. Thank you.
